Butterhorns
Butterhorns is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yeast, 1/4 c. water, 3/4 c. scalded milk, 1/2 c. crisco and 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Place yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
Add 1 teaspoon sugar to activate yeast.
Let set about 10 minutes.
Scald milk.
Stir Crisco, sugar and salt into hot milk.
Let cool slightly.
Add yeast, flour and eggs.
Knead dough, place in oiled bowl (turn to coat), cover and let rise until doubled in size.
