Buttered Marshmallow Squash
Buttered Marshmallow Squash is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 medium size butternut squash, 3/4 c. granulated sugar, 2 tbsp. brown sugar, 1/3 c. butter and 1/8 tsp. nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Cut solid portions of squash into 1/2-inch round cuts; peel. From the large end, peel and remove seeds; cut as desired.
Cut rounds into fourths.
Add 1/2 cup water; cool slowly until tender Drain off water; add sugar, butter and nutmeg.
Mash or beat well. Pour into baking dish.
Cover with marshmallows.
Bake in oven until brown and glazy looking.
Bake at 375Β° for about 40 minutes.
