Buttercream Icing is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. milk, 2 tbsp. flour (level), 1/2 c. butter or oleo, 1/2 c. + 2 tbsp. sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Mix together milk and flour; cook over very low heat until thickened.
Let cool.
Take butter and sugar and cream until fluffy, then add the cooled milk and flour mixture and beat until smooth and creamy.
Add vanilla (can use lemon juice and yellow food coloring for a change); blend again.
