Buttercream Icing is an easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. butter or oleo, cold and firm, 2 c. sifted confectioners sugar, 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 1 to 2 tbsp. milk or cream, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Place butter in a small bowl with electric mixer; beat several minutes until creamy.
Add sugar, 1/2 cup at a time; beat well after each addition.
Add vanilla, then milk, a little at a time, and beat well.
