Butter Mints
Butter Mints is an easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. sugar, 1/4 lb. butter, 1 pt. boiling water and oil of peppermint or spearmint, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Pour boiling water over sugar and butter in saucepan.
Stir until dissolved.
Cook until it forms a hard ball when dropped in cold water.
Pour on well buttered marble slab.
Drop 2 or 3 drops mint flavor on top.
When cool enough to handle, pull as long as you can.
Stretch on countertop.
Clip into desired sizes.
Store in an airtight container.
