Butter Mints
Butter Mints is an easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. sugar, 1/4 lb. butter, 1 pt. boiling water and oil of peppermint or spearmint, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Pour boiling water over sugar and butter in saucepan.
Stir until dissolved.
Cook until it forms a hard ball when dropped in cold water.
Pour on well buttered marble slab.
Drop 2 or 3 drops mint flavor on top.
When cool enough to handle, pull as long as you can.
Stretch on countertop.
Clip into desired sizes.
Store in an airtight container.
