Butter Crisps
Butter Crisps is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 stick oleo, 1 stick butter, 1 c. sugar, 1 egg yolk and 2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Cream the oleo and butter and add sugar, egg yolk, vanilla, salt, flour, nuts and egg white.
Mix all together and spread with spatula on ungreased 16 x 14-inch cookie sheet.
Set aside until you whip slightly egg white.
Spread with pastry brush across top of cookie dough.
Sprinkle nuts on top of egg streaked dough. Bake at 275Β° for 45 minutes to 1 hour until brown.
Cut in squares as soon as you take from oven but do not remove from pan until cold.
