Butter Cream Icing
Butter Cream Icing is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening, 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 5 c. (10x) sugar and 1/4 c. plus 1 tbsp. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Mixing cream butter or margarine and shortening together.
Add vanilla.
Gradually add 10x sugar, one cup at a time, beating very well.
Beat on medium speed. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often.
Add milk and beat at high speed until and fluffy.
Very well, covered tightly, in refrigerator for several weeks.
Great for decorating fancy cakes.
Set out at room temperature before using.
