Butter Cookies
Butter Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. margarine, 1/4 c. sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 c. flour and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Cream margarine and sugar.
Add vanilla.
Add flour and salt; mix well.
Shape rounded tablespoonfuls of dough into balls; place on cookie sheet.
Indent centers; fill with preserves or nuts. Dough can also be put in a cookie press and, instead of preserves, can be decorated with sprinkles or large pieces of nuts.
Bake at 400Β° for 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes 3 dozen.
