Brownies
Brownies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate (2 oz.), 1/3 c. crisco, 1 c. sugar, 2 eggs and 3/4 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Heat oven to 350Β°.
Grease a square pan, 8 x 8 x 2-inch.
Melt chocolate and Crisco together over low heat.
Beat in sugar and eggs.
Blend flour, baking powder and salt; stir into chocolate mixture.
Mix in nuts.
Spread in pan.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until top has a dull crust.
A slight imprint will remain when touched lightly with finger.
Cool slightly.
Cut in 2-inch squares.
Makes 16 brownies.
