Brownies
Brownies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (10 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, 1/3 c. shortening, 1 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. salt and 3/4 c. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Heat oven to 350Β°.
Heat chocolate and shortening over low heat, stirring constantly until melted.
Remove from heat; mix in sugar, eggs and vanilla.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Spread in greased pan (8 x 8 x 2-inches).
Bake until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan, 30 to 35 minutes.
Cool slightly. Frost with Chocolate Frosting if desired.
