Brisket
Brisket is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 lb. 2nd cut brisket, 32 oz. spaghetti sauce, 1 can mushrooms, 2 lb. baking potatoes, quartered and 2 onions, diced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Day One: Rinse meat well.
Combine 16 ounces sauce, water, onions and seasonings in large pot on top of stove.
Place brisket in pot, fat side up (should be almost covered).
Cook until it starts to boil, then lower heat to medium.
Add sauce if needed and cook for 2 1/2 hours.
Let stand 45 minutes.
Slice against the grain on an angle in thin pieces.
Put slices back in pot and let sit for 3 hours.
Place in refrigerator overnight.
