Combine milk and hot water; pour over bread.
Set aside to cool until lukewarm.
Stir in eggs, butter, salt and vanilla flavoring.
Pour into 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
Set in shallow pan of hot water.
Bake at 350Β° until blade of knife inserted near the center comes out clean, about 1 hour.
