Bread Pudding

Pour cream and milk over bread cubes in large bowl.
Beat egg yolks and 1 cup sugar until light.
Stir in raisins and vanilla. Stir egg yolk mixture into bread mixture.
Let stand 10 minutes. Beat egg whites; add 3 tablespoons of sugar until stiff but not dry.
Fold egg whites into bread mixture.
Pour into 2-quart casserole; set in pan of hot water and bake at 350Β° for 1 hour.
