Bread Pudding
Bread Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. french bread, crust trimmed, 2 qt. (8 c.) milk, 1/4 lb. butter, 2 1/2 c. sugar and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Preheat oven to 375Β°.
Grease 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Melt butter over low heat.
Crumble bread into a big bowl.
Add milk and mix thoroughly.
Add sugar, salt and vanilla and mix. Beat eggs lightly; add and mix.
Add melted butter; mix and pour into baking dish.
Bake 1 1/2 hours on middle rack in oven.
Place pan underneath to catch drippings, then cool on wire rack.
