Bran Cherry Loaf
Bran Cherry Loaf is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. cracklin' oat bran cereal, 1 1/4 c. milk, 2 c. all-purpose flour, 1/2 c. sugar and 3 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Mix cereal and milk.
Let stand until soft.
Stir together flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg.
Add egg and oil to cereal mixture; beat well.
Add flour mixture and stir well.
Fold in chopped cherries (reserving 2 tablespoons chopped cherries for topping) and 3/4 cup chopped walnuts.
Pour into greased loaf pan.
