Braised Steak
Braised Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. steak, cut in serving size pieces, 3 medium onions, 1 large apple, peeled, cored and chopped, 2 tsp. worcestershire sauce and 2 tsp. soy sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Flour and brown steaks in shortening.
Remove steaks and brown onions shortening.
Remaining ingredients.
Add water to make as much gravy as you desire (don't start adding too much water at the beginning) as it cooks.
Simmer for three hours. Cool overnight.
Off fat; thicken with flour or cornstarch.
