Boiled Custard
Boiled Custard is an easy dinner. Made with 4 egg yolks, 1/4 c. sugar, dash salt, 2 c. scalded milk and 1/2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Mix sugar, egg and salt together. Add to scalded milk very slowly. Stir until dissolved, then add vanilla. Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture coats the spoon thickly. Whip egg whites until soft peeks form. Add enough sugar to sweeten the egg whites. Spoon whites onto custard and gently spoon some custard over top of egg whites.
Allow to cool completely before refrigerating.
