Black Forest Torte
Black Forest Torte is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 3/4 c. flour, 1 3/4 c. sugar, 1 1/4 tsp. soda, 1 tsp. salt and 1 1/4 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Brush sides and bottoms of 4 (9-inch) round layer pans with margarine.
Bake only 2 layers at a time. Measure into large mixing bowl all cake ingredients except eggs. Beat at low speed to blend, then beat at medium speed 2 minutes, scraping sides and bottom of bowl frequently.
Add eggs and beat 2 minutes more.
Pour 1/4 batter (or 1 cup) into each pan.
Layers will be thin.
