Biscuit Dumplings
Biscuit Dumplings is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. flour, 2 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. salt, 1/4 c. shortening and 3/4 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
Cut in shortening.
Add milk, using more if necessary to make soft dough. Roll about 1/4-inch thick and cut into 1-inch squares, strips or diamonds.
Drop into hard boiling chicken stock.
Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
Cook chicken until tender.
Take meat off bone and add to dumplings while cooking.
Serves 6.
