Biscochitos
Biscochitos is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. lard or shortening, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 tsp. anise seed, 2 eggs, beaten and 1/4 tsp. brandy extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Preheat oven to 375°.
In large bowl cream lard and sugar until creamy.
Add eggs, anise and brandy extract.
Beat and mix well. Add flour alternately, with baking powder, salt and creamed mixture until stiff dough has formed.
Knead dough; pat or roll out to 1/4-inch shapes.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 minutes at 375°.
