Biscochitos
Biscochitos is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. pure lard, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, unbeaten, 4 1/2 tsp. baking powder and 6 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

With milk in large bowl.
Add sugar, eggs, baking powder anise seed.
Mix together real well, then add flour, a little at a time.
Knead well for a few seconds. If dough seems crumbly, add more milk until it stays together firm enough to roll on board.
Roll out about 1/2-inch thick and cut with cookie cutter.
Bake in ungreased pan until light brown
425Β° oven.
Dip cookies before baking in cinnamon-sugar mixture and place in pan with sugar up.
Makes about 8 dozen cookies.
