Birthday Cake
Birthday Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. cake flour, 1/2 tsp. soda, 1 tsp. salt, 3/4 stick margarine and 1 c. buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Sift flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar; set aside.
Cream margarine and blend in lemon rind.
Add flour mixture, buttermilk, and vanilla; mix until flour is damp, then beat for 2 minutes at medium speed.
Add eggs and beat 1 minute longer.
Pour into two 9 inch cake pans that have been greased and floured.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes at 350Β°.
