Best Oatmeal Cookies
Best Oatmeal Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/4 c. margarine, 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar, 1/2 c. granulated sugar, 1 egg and 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Heat oven to 375Β°.
Beat together the margarine and sugars until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg and vanilla.
Combine flour, baking soda, salt and spices.
Add to margarine mixture.
Mix well.
Stir in oats.
Drop by rounded tablespoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 9 minutes for a chewy cookie or 10 to 11 minutes for a crisp cookie.
Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet. Remove to wire rack.
Store in tightly covered container.
Makes 4 1/2 dozen.
