Made with 1 yellow cake mix, 1 c. sugar, 1 small instant vanilla pudding, coconut, chopped nuts and chopped maraschino cherries for decoration and 1 (20 oz.) can undrained crushed pineapple, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bake cake mix as directed on package in 9 x 13-inch pan.
Boil for 5 minutes the pineapple with juice and the sugar.
Pour on top of hot cake and cool.
Add bananas on top.
Sprinkle with instant vanilla pudding.
Top with Cool Whip, then sprinkle with coconut, nuts and cherries.
Put in refrigerator for a day or two.
