Beet and Pear Salad
Beet And Pear Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (16 oz.) can pear halves, 1 (16 oz.) can sliced beets, drained, 1/2 c. thinly sliced red onion, 2 tbsp. vegetable oil and 1 tbsp. white wine vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Drain pears, reserving 1 tablespoon syrup.
Cut pears in half lengthwise.
Place pears, beets and onion in medium bowl.
Whisk together oil, vinegar and reserved syrup.
Pour over salad; toss gently.
Just before serving, add cheese and toss.
Serve on bed of lettuce leaves.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
