Beef Stroganoff
Beef Stroganoff is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. fillet of beef, cut in julienne strips (round steak or sirloin can be used), 1 tbsp. sweet paprika, salt and fresh ground pepper to taste, 2 tbsp. butter and 1/2 c. finely chopped onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Sprinkle meat with paprika, salt and pepper.
Heat the butter in a very hot skillet.
Add meat, stirring to separate the pieces to cook evenly, about 2 to 3 minutes.
Remove the meat with slotted spoon.
Add onion; saute for 1 minute.
Add the wine; cook down to reduce by half.
Lower the heat.
Add the sour cream, stirring (do not allow cream to boil, or it will curdle).
Return meat to pan.
Serve with noodles.
