Beef Stroganoff
Beef Stroganoff is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. sirloin steak or lesser cut of meat, cut 1-inch thick, 2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms, 1 c. finely chopped onion, 1/4 c. butter or shortening and 2 tbsp. tomato paste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
In a large skillet, saute mushrooms and onions in 3 tablespoons butter until golden brown.
Remove from skillet.
Add remaining butter.
Brown meat on all sides, 15 minutes.
Dissolve bouillon in boiling water.
Pour over meat.
Add tomato paste, mustard and salt.
Cover.
Simmer 45 minutes, until tender.
