Beef Steak Pie
Beef Steak Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. round steak, 3 c. water, 1/2 c. onion, sliced, 1/2 c. carrots, sliced and 4 medium potatoes, cut in small pieces, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Cut steak in 1-inch pieces and brown with the onions in the shortening.
Add the flour and blend, then add the water, carrots, celery, salt and pepper.
Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
Add the potatoes and cook 15 minutes longer.
Pour into a casserole and cover with pie crust.
Place in hot oven (450Β°) and bake 30 minutes.
