Beef Jerky
Beef Jerky is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 lb. flank steak (fat removed), 2 tbsp. salt, 3 tbsp. chili powder, 3 tsp. garlic powder and pam, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Cut meat in strips about 1/4-inch thick.
Mix all the rest of the ingredients.
Place meat in a glass dish and cover with marinade.
Refrigerate overnight.
Drain and dry on paper towels. Spray oven racks with Pam.
Place meat on open oven racks at 150° to 200° and bake for 4 to 8 hours.
Jerky will be brown and will crack when bent when jerky is done.
(Jerky should not break when bent.)
Store in airtight container or freeze.
