Beef Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. beef chunks, cut in desired pieces, 2 pkg. onion soup mix, 1 can beef consomme, 1/2 c. red wine and 1/2 can mushrooms, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Layer or place all ingredients in a casserole.
Bake, covered, three hours at 350Β°.
During the last 15 minutes, you may add peas.
The last few minutes, thicken with flour and water.
Serves at least 6.
