Beatnik Cake
Beatnik Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/4 c. sugar, 1 1/2 c. flour, 3/4 tsp. salt, 1 1/2 tsp. soda and 1/2 c. cocoa, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Grease and flour 8 x 12 x 2-inch pan.
Blend sugar, flour, salt and soda.
Combine cocoa, oil and vanilla.
Add blended dry ingredients and mix well.
Grind beets before measuring, then add with beaten eggs to batter mixture.
Mix well.
Bake at 350Β° for 25 minutes.
