Bean Soup
Bean Soup is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 c. pinto beans, ham or bacon, 8 c. water, 2 tbsp. butter and 1 c. onion, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Wash beans.
Simmer beans, water and meat in covered kettle 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
Add water if needed.
Fry onion, celery, garlic and green pepper in butter until tender.
Add to soup with tomatoes and seasonings.
Cover and simmer at least 30 minutes longer.
