Bavarian Apple Torte
Bavarian Apple Torte is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. margarine, 1/3 c. sugar, 1/4 tsp. vanilla, 1 c. flour and 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheeses, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Cream margarine, 1/3 cup sugar and vanilla.
Blend in flour. Spread dough in bottom of a 9-inch pan.
Combine cheese and 1/4 cup sugar.
Add egg.
Mix and pour into pan.
Combine 1/3 cup sugar, apples and cinnamon, and put over cheese layer.
Sprinkle with almonds.
Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.
Lower heat to 400° for 25 minutes.
Serves 8.
