Batter Rolls

Scald milk; stir sugar, salt and oleo. Cool to lukewarm. Measure warm water into large bowl.
Crumble yeast; stir until dissolved.
Add lukewarm milk mixture, egg (beaten) and 2 cups flour.
Beat until smooth; stir in enough remaining flour to make a soft dough.
Cover and let rise in warm place until double in bulk, about 30 minutes. Punch down and shape into 2 dozen rolls.
Place greased baking cake pans or muffin cups.
Cover.
Let rise in warm place until doubled in bulk, about 30 minutes.
Bake hot oven at 400Β° about 15 minutes or so.
