Batter Rolls
Batter Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. milk, 1/4 c. sugar, 1 tsp. salt, 1/4 c. (1/2 stick) oleo and 1/2 c. warm water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Scald milk; stir sugar, oleo. Cool to lukewarm. Measure warm water into large bowl.
Crumble yeast; stir until dissolved.
Add lukewarm milk mixture, egg (beaten) and 2 cups flour.
Beat until smooth; stir in enough remaining flour to make a soft dough.
Cover and let rise in warm place until double in bulk, about 30 minutes. Punch down and shape into 2 dozen rolls.
Greased baking pans or muffin cups.
Cover.
Let rise in warm place until doubled in bulk, about 30 minutes.
At 400Β° about 15 minutes or so.
