Basic Yellow Cake
Basic Yellow Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 sticks whipped margarine, 1/2 c. crisco, 2 3/4 c. sugar, 3/4 tsp. vanilla and 3 c. sifted flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cream margarine and Crisco.
Add sugar, salt and vanilla. Cream well.
Add 1/2 flour and 1/2 milk.
Beat at low speed until well blended.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Beat at high speed after each addition.
Add other 1/2 flour with baking powder and other 1/2 milk.
Beat at low speed until well blended.
Bake in three layers at 350Β° for 20 minutes.
