Bar-B-Q Sauce
Bar-B-Q Sauce is an easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. plus 2 tbsp. prepared mustard, 1 qt. light karo syrup, 1 lb. pure butter, 6 cups water and 1 cup vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Pour water, vinegar, syrup and mustard into a large pan. Beat with a portable mixer until smooth. Add butter and bring to a boil, stirring constantly until butter melts.
Lower heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Makes enough sauce for 5
- 3 1/2 to 4 lb. whole fryers split down the breast and cooked over a charcoal fire.
Makes 1 gal. sauce.
