Baptist Pound Cake
Baptist Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. sugar, 1 stick margarine, 1/2 c. crisco, 5 eggs and 3 c. plain flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Beat together shortening, butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each addition.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and add alternately with milk to first mixture.
Add flavoring.
Grease and flour a Bundt pan or a 10-inch tube pan.
Place in cold oven.
Turn to 350Β° and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Let stand for 3 to 5 minutes, then remove from pan.
