Banberry Surprise
Banberry Surprise is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 14 minutes. Made with (3 oz.) boxes strawberry gelatin, boiling water, strawberry soda pop, banana slices and box white or yellow cake mix, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
Add strawberry soda pop and cool completely.
Mix cake according to package directions (do not use cake mix with pudding in it).
Bake in 13 1/2 x 9 1/2 x 2 inch greased and floured pan.
Let cool completely.
After cake is cooled, using potato peeler, poke lots of holes all the way to the bottom.
Pour gelatin and soda pop mixture over cake.
Cover entire top of cake with thick sliced bananas.
