Banana Split Torte
Banana Split Torte is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 sticks butter, 3 c. vanilla wafers, 2 c. powdered sugar, 2 eggs and 6 ripe bananas, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Melt one stick of butter in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Crush 3 cups vanilla wafers.
Mix with butter and pack well in pan; refrigerate well.
Beat at high speed until creamy the powdered sugar and soft butter.
Add eggs one at a time.
Spread mixture on cracker crust. Slice bananas oblong.
(Let them sit in pineapple juice to prevent browning.) Place them on mixture.
Drain pineapple and place on bananas.
Place cherries on top of pineapple; top with Cool Whip.
(Optional: top with 1/4 cup chopped nuts.)
Chill overnight or 4 hours.
