Banana Split Cake

Mix together vanilla wafers and 1 stick margarine.
Press in 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Cream together sugar, 1 1/2 sticks margarine and cream cheese.
Spread over vanilla wafer crust.
Slice bananas on top of cream cheese mixture and cover with drained pineapple.
Top with Cool Whip.
Place nuts and cherries on top.
Refrigerate.
