In a bowl, combine sugar and flour.

Add milk to slightly beaten egg yolks, then combine flour mixture and milk mixture. Cook in top of double boiler until the thickness of custard.

Add vanilla.

Line baking dish with wafers.

Slice bananas over wafers.

Pour 1/2 custard over bananas and wafers.

Repeat process again.

Beat egg whites with 6 tablespoons sugar.

Beat egg whites until stiff.

Pour on top of pudding.

Bake at 425Β° for 5 minutes, or until top is slightly browned.
