Banana Pudding
Banana Pudding is an moderately easy dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 6 minutes. Made with bananas, vanilla wafers, c. sugar, c. flour and eggs (save 3 whites), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Mix sugar, flour, eggs, salt, milk and oleo in order and cook on top of stove in large heavy pot until thickened.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
Beat the 3 egg whites and add 1 teaspoon cream of tartar and dash of salt until thick and forms peak.
Add 3 tablespoons sugar, one tablespoon at a time.
Spread on top of pudding and bake 10 to 12 minutes at 450Β°.
This makes a large pudding.
