Banana-Nut Icebox Cake
Banana-Nut Icebox Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. vanilla wafers, 1 c. powdered sugar, 1 c. chopped nuts, 3 bananas and 1/2 c. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Cream the butter and sugar.
Add beaten egg yolks and lemon extract.
Beat several minutes.
Beat egg whites very stiff.
Fold into mixture and add nuts.
Crush vanilla wafers.
Put into pan a layer of crumbs, layer of custard, then bananas (sliced thin); repeat to finish with the crumbs on top.
Set overnight to chill. Serve with whipped cream.
