Beat on medium speed the flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, mixed with bananas, salt, shortening and 1/2 cup milk for 2 minutes.
Add eggs and 1/3 cup milk.
Beat 2 more minutes.
Fold in chopped nuts.
Bake in moderate oven (350Β°) for 30 to 35 minutes for layers or 45 minutes for oblong cake.
