Banana Nut Bread
Banana Nut Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/8 c. sugar, 3 c. flour, 1/4 tsp. salt, 6 tbsp. buttermilk and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream shortening and sugar.
Sift dry ingredients together, except soda.
Add dry ingredients to pecans.
Add soda to buttermilk and eggs.
Add this to creamed mixture.
Now add flour. Blend well.
Bake at 325Β° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Yields 3 small or 2 large loaves.
Bake in 9 x 7 x 3-inch large pans or 6 x 3 x 3-inch small pans.
