Banana Nut Bread

Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Cream the sugar and shortening.
Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well.
Add dry ingredients alternately with bananas, stirring just enough to blend. Do not beat. Add nuts with last addition of flour mixture. Pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 350Β° for 1 hour.
