Banana Bread
Banana Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/4 c. sugar, 1/2 c. butter, softened, 2 eggs, 1 1/2 c. mashed bananas and 1/2 c. buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Heat oven to 350Β°.
Grease bottom of 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Mix sugar and butter in bowl.
Stir in eggs until well blended. Add bananas, buttermilk and vanilla.
Beat until smooth.
Stir in remaining ingredients except nuts just until moistened.
Stir in nuts.
Pour mixture into pan.
Bake about 1 1/4 hours or until toothpick comes out clean.
Cool about 5 to 10 minutes.
Loosen sides, then remove from pan.
Cool completely before slicing.
