Banana Bread
Banana Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. chopped nuts, 1 c. mashed bananas (2 large), 1 1/2 c. sifted flour, 1 tsp. soda and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Heat oven to 350Β°.
Grease three No. 2 or 303 size cans or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Chop nuts and mash the bananas.
Sift together the flour, soda and salt. Combine butter, sugar, eggs and flavoring in mixing bowl. Cream for 1 1/2 minutes. Add bananas, sour cream, nuts and flour mixture.
Beat until well blended. Fill cans about 2/3 full. Bake 1 hour or until done.
Let stand several minutes, then remove from cans.
Cool thoroughly before serving.
